Our Panelists

Meghan Scanlon is currently the President & CEO of Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the state’s leading voice for domestic violence victims, survivors, and their families. She leads a statewide network focused on advocacy, outreach, and education. Working to transform political, economic, and social responses to end domestic violence in Connecticut. Prior to CCADV, Scanlon led Women & Family Life Center, a regional nonprofit serving women and families in crisis. Meghan has experience in the Connecticut nonprofit world and served as an aide to Senator Chris Murphy and Congresswoman Jahana Hayes. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and lives in Guilford with her husband Sean and sons Jack and Declan.

Jill Blomberg has guided individuals and families through high-stakes legal matters with sharp strategic judgment, tenacity, and genuine compassion. Known for anticipating challenges, delivering clear and practical counsel, and advocating fiercely when the circumstances demand it, Jill gives her clients both the confidence to move forward and the reassurance that they are never facing the process alone. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers. Consistently recognized among the leading family law attorneys in Connecticut, Jill has earned a Band 1 ranking from Chambers, recognition from The Best Lawyers in America®, and the YWCA Greenwich Purple Ribbon Award for her contributions to the lives of domestic violence survivors. Her commitment to service extends beyond the courtroom through leadership with the Fordham Law Alumni Association and involvement with Casa Verde, Home of Hope, in Medellín, Colombia. Above all, her roles as a wife, mother, and dog mom keep her grounded in what matters most and deepen the understanding she brings to every family she represents.

Alyssa Bossengreene, MA is the Director of Training at the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV). After 11 years of university teaching and completing all but the dissertation for a Gender Studies PhD at Indiana University, she left academia in 2023 to bring her teaching skills to the movement to end domestic violence. She held positions in outreach and prevention education at a local domestic violence program near her home in Massachusetts before transitioning to her current role at CCADV. She brings a passion for inclusive, trauma-informed instruction to the important work of educating professionals and members of the public about domestic violence to empower them to prevent and respond to this ongoing crisis.
