Serving the community of Greenwich, YWCA Greenwich is proud to offer a variety of youth aquatics, sport and fitness programs for children from 16 months old to early teens, and older. YWCA Greenwich provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for families and parents to watch their children grow as they develop new skills through a wide range of fun physical activities.

Gymnastics
Our Gymnastics program offers everything from basic balance and tumbling classes for infants and toddlers, as well as Gymnastics level classes I-V for more advanced middle school-aged participants. Sign up your child to enhance their fine motor skills, coordination, and improve their discipline, flexibility, and strength in a warm and encouraging environment. From basic balance and tumbling classes for parents and toddlers to beginner and advanced programs for adolescents and early teens, our gymnastics program helps students enhance and improve their flexibility and strength. For class attire, a leotard is preferred but gym clothes are acceptable. Children should wear comfortable clothes with no buttons, zippers or snaps. Hair must be tied back with an elastic band. No skirts, jeans, barrettes, headbands, or jewelry.
Meet Sue Knight, Our Famed Instructor
Sue Knight, Varsity Head Coach of the Greenwich High School Gymnastics Team -- which claimed both the Fairfield County and Connecticut State Interscholastic Athletic Conferences in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 -- has headed the gymnastics program at the YWCA for 30 years. She is a Connecticut state certified interscholastic/intramural coach and has received USA Gymnastics certifications for safety and risk management, safe sport training, and is a safe sport instructor. Sue is also certified in CPR and First Aid.
Sue has dedicated her career to teaching children of all levels and ages from the fundamentals to advanced gymnastic skills. She is committed to creating an environment that is always safe, welcoming and inclusive.

Baseball & Softball
At YWCA Greenwich, we offer baseball and softball programs for boys and girls, ages 8 to 18, which feature individual lessons, team workouts, and advanced hitting clinics. Sign up your child for our exclusive Baseball & Softball Coaching Clinics and Training Program. Led by former St. Louis Cardinals' pitcher Mike Parisi, your son or daughter will learn how to pitch, run, and catch like the pros. Instruction includes training and use of our professional batting cage and pitching machine.
YWCA Greenwich also offers customized team workouts for five or more--a great way to take advantage of Mike Parisi Coaching Clinics in a more focused setting. Improve offensive and defensive skills. Build strength and conditioning. Take advantage of Mike Parisi Coaching Clinics.

- Batting Cage: 60' long, 18' wide, 15' high.
- Pitching Machine: Features speeds up to 95 mph with a hopper that holds up to 20 balls and throws fastballs, curves, sliders, change-ups, sinkers and practice ground balls.

Greenwich Junior Babe Ruth Baseball

Kyle Wirtz, YWCA Greenwich Director of Health and Fitness manages all aspects of the Greenwich Junior Babe Ruth Baseball League. We have everything you need to win: a great coaching staff led by Chief Instructor Mike Parisi, former St. Louis Cardinals’ pitcher ...an indoor/outdoor pitching machine and batting cage system...a pitching mound...bats, balls and helmets...and an available strength and conditioning center.
Also, Garrett Withiam, Assistant Director of Health and Fitness for YWCA Greenwich develops the workout protocols/progressions and runs the strength and conditioning portion of the baseball program. Adaptive Dance & Ballet
14-18 years: 10:00-11:00 am
5-8 years: 11:00 am- 12:00 pm

Saturday mornings at YWCA Greenwich
Ballet & Dance program for children with Down Syndrome, Autism and other disabilities. We also offer traditional ballet classes, creative movement, and private lessons.

Ballet Class
Pre-Ballet: 5-6 year olds: Thursdays from 4:00-4:45pm
Pre-Ballet classes focus on the joy of movement with age-appropriate exercises for children 5-6 years old. Children learn to move through space, develop motor and listening skills, rhythm, and qualities of movement through music, imagination, and free dance opportunities. Students will begin to learn the basic positions in ballet.
Dress code: pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Dancer's hair must be in a bun or ponytail pulled back off the face. No jewelry.
Beginner Ballet: 7-9 year olds: Thursdays from 4:45-5:45pm
Children ages 7-9 years old begin to learn the technical skills and fundamental elements required for classical ballet in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Emphasis is on balance, posture, flexibility, strength, and musicality.
Dress code: black leotard (no skirts attached), pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Dancer's hair must be in a bun pulled back off the face. No jewelry.
Natalie Gasparini began studying ballet locally at the age of three. Her serious training and study continued in NYC at Manhattan Youth Ballet, SLK Ballet and with summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre and Complexions. Natalie has been a top competitor at both the Youth America Grand Prix and CT Classic Ballet Competitions. Natalie Gasparini is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
