About the Artist

This series was inspired by the 2025 Chinese New Year of the Snake. It includes Nicole’s “By the Sea” series which features collected crab and oyster shells from the Long Island Sound, hence the title “Wood Snakes By the Sea” Nicole has a BFA from Syracuse University in Communications Design. She works in mixed media; ceramics, sculpture, and painting. Nicole freelanced as a graphics designer. She then took her creative passion and co-founded Hand Painted, a ceramics studio in Stamford, CT. She also has an Art Teaching Certification. Nicole's art is frequently exhibited throughout Connecticut.
