A Small Number, But Larger Than Zero

Zili Zhang is an internationally awarded photographer based in Greenwich, CT. He was named Conceptual Photographer of the Year by Exposure One and received Gold from both the 1839 Awards and ND Magazine. The Smithsonian, Paris Photo Prize, and the Tokyo International Foto Awards have also recognized his work.
Zhang’s work seeks quiet conversation through a minimalist approach. Geometry, motion, and color all serve to evoke a sense of inner peace and serenity. He believes timelessness lies behind every decisive moment, and that photography is not confined to location, but to seek something universal. Aiming to transform ordinaries into poetry, Zhang challenges the medium to transcend its traditional limits, embracing it not only as a tool for capturing reality but as a powerful means of artistic expression.
