August 29, 2019YWCA Greenwich will host its annual Family Fun Fair at its home, 259 East Putnam Avenue, in central Greenwich on Saturday, September 7, from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.
Admission is FREE and everyone in Greenwich is invited to come and experience the fantastic children’s programs offered at the YWCA.
This year’s event is especially significant as the YWCA is celebrating its centennial.
There will be music, games, arts and crafts, face painting, Joey B’s food truck, Phil & Tom’s Ice Cream truck, Arcuri’s, and celebratory cupcakes!
Younger children can enjoy our splash pad or have fun in the Bouncy Castle.
For older children, we will have basketball and gymnastics, as well as a game room!
Hugh Underhill, the YWCA tennis instructor and varsity tennis and squash coach at Darien High School, will be here to teach children the basics of tennis.
This is the YWCA’s fifth annual fair, and it is open to everyone in Greenwich. “It’s our way of welcoming the community to the YWCA and providing a sample of all that YWCA Greenwich has to offer,” said Michelle Pennino, Director of Member Services. “We were also happy to have Joey B’s food truck, Arcuri’s and Phil and Tom’s ice cream truck join the party.”
YWCA Greenwich also offers a host of children’s programming including Aquatics, Baseball and Softball training, Dance, Golf, Gymnastics and Tennis. Songs for Seeds, an interactive music class for babies to age four, is also now offering classes at the YWCA.
Adult programming includes a state-of-the-art fitness center and spin room, more than 40 group exercise programs each week, tennis lessons and open play, pickleball, badminton and aquatics programming that includes group classes and individual lessons.
