About The Artist

A native of Old Greenwich, Connecticut, Sarah Schneider spent her early years immersed in the coastal environment that continues to shape her artistic vision, her paintings evoke the textures, light, and organic forms of the landscapes she holds dear. After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University in 1998, she worked in both the financial services and fashion industries in New York City. During this time, she rekindled her creative passion by studying at the Parsons School of Design and the New York School of Interior Design.

Sarah’s journey as a professional artist began in an unexpected and personal way—painting a mural for her first child’s nursery. This sparked a successful venture creating custom murals and hand-painted children’s furniture. As her family grew, so did her artistic practice. In 2017, Sarah made a decisive shift to focus on her studio work. She studied at the Silvermine School of Art and the Rowayton Art Center. Her work has been included in numerous juried exhibitions across Fairfield County, Connecticut, most recently in the Greenwich Art Society’s 108th Annual Spring Juried Exhibition in June 2025.
