The health and safety of all of our YWCA Greenwich Members and families are our highest priorities. Regrettably, we are cancelling all youth programming at the YWCA until further notice. Given the announcement today of positive COVID 19 cases at both Greenwich and Stamford Hospitals, the closure of Greenwich public schools, the cancellation of athletic practices and competitions here and across the state, we believe it is prudent and serving the best interests of our Members that we cancel youth programming and practices starting today until further notice. This follows the prior cancellation notice regarding YWCA Preschool, Afterschool Programs, swim lessons and gymnastics programs.
In addition, starting today, there are no guest passes allowed, and only Members may be in the building for Lap Swim and to use the Fitness Center. Rental groups will not be able to meet at the YWCA until further notice.
Starting tomorrow, March 13, we are cancelling adult Group X (Group Exercise) classes, including Badminton, Pickle Ball, Spin, group classes in the pool and Masters swimming, until further notice.
Anyone in the building should follow the hygiene practices outlined in previous YWCA notices, including 6 feet of social distancing, including while using machines in the Fitness Center.
This situation continues to evolve rapidly and we will be back in touch with further announcements, including possible building closure to all but essential personnel. In the meantime, please stay healthy, and please let us know if you or anyone in your family becomes ill with COVID 19.
