Allison is a lifelong resident of Greenwich, she graduated from the Greenwich Academy, where she served on their Alumnae Board and Board of Directors, and attended George Washington University in Washington, DC where she received a BA in English. She also attended childhood education classes at the Bank Street School in New York City.

After graduating from college, Allison worked at the Washington Star newspaper as an editorial assistant and feature writer. She later moved to New York City with her husband, where she worked at Harcourt, Brace Publishing Company as an editor and later, worked at Home Box Office as a writer and editor on their program guide.

Allison began her volunteering experience at the school where her two children attended, The Greenwich Country Day School. She also worked as a co-teacher in the Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten, substitute teacher in the lower and middle school Divisions and as Assistant Admissions Director in the Admissions Office. Allison and her husband are currently members of the Parents of Alumnae Board for GCDS.

She then joined the Junior League of Greenwich and later became a member of the Greenwich United Way family where she joined the Board of Directors co-chaired the United Way Leadership Campaign. Allison is a founding member of the UW Sole Sisters and Chaired the 2007 Sole Sister’s Annual Luncheon. She is currently a member of the “Lifetime Sole Sisters Group.”

She also served on the Board of Directors of the River House and was an active member on the Human Resources Committee, Development Committee and Special Events Committee.

As a member of the Millbrook Club in Greenwich, Allison served on the Admissions Committee and chaired the Food Committee.

She currently volunteers for Make-A-Wish Connecticut and co-chaired their Gala held in Greenwich which raises funds to support the many wishes that are granted each year and is currently one of the Honorary co-chairs of this year’s 35th Anniversary Gala. Supporting non-profits in our community, whose mission is to assist those in need, is very important to Allison and she will continue to commit to them in any way that she can be of help. She is married to Steve Wolowitz, partner in the law firm Mayer, Brown in NYC. Together they share two children, daughter, Ashley, resides in LA with her husband, Jon and daughters Emerson (8 years) and Camden (5 years) and son, Jordan, lives in Greenwich with his wife, Emily and daughter, Daisy (2) and a baby brother arriving in February.
